| Ca'd'Oro is named for the famous palazzo on the Grand Canal. Originally this beautiful palace was covered in a thin coating of gold foil, much like our gold foil beads. The Ca'd'oro is also known as Cracked Gold as the coverage of the gold is not in solid sheet but rather broken bits and pieces. It gives a rich color as it is on the outside of the Murano Glass colors and then encased in a crystal clear Murano Glass allowing the rich colors from below to be seen. |
